AquaGO! - An Intro to Artistic Swimming

Synchro PEI is pleased to introduce AquaGO!, a nation-wide grassroots foundation program for artistic swimming in Canada and is the launching pad for all other programs delivered by Canada Artistic Swimming. It is an opportunity for children as young as age 5 to have fun, develop aquatic literacy, learn the basics of artistic swimming and develop basic physical and athletic skills in and out of the water.

**Our recreation program accepts all swimmers who are age 5 and have or are starting their first year in kindergarten.**

AquaGO! deliverables:

  • Introduce new ways to move in and out of water

  • Develop physical and aquatic literacy

  • For all abilities, skill levels and participants

  • Provide fitness and health benefits for life

  • Develop teamwork skills

  • Ideal for boys and girls age 5 – 9 who are between swimming levels or waiting to meet an age requirement

  • No previous experience needed

Equipment required: 

bathing cap , one piece bathing suit, goggles, nose clip and a water bottle.

The AquaGo Program will run two sessions for the 2023-2024 season. The first will run Wednesday September 20, 2023 - Wednesday December 20, 2023  (14 sessions). The second session will run from Wednesday January 10, 2024 - Wednesday May 01, 2023 (17 sessions).  The program runs from September until May. Practices are once a week. AquaGO was designed to build an overall athlete so there are actually many exercises that are done on land before getting into the water. Your child may not be in the pool until 10-15 minutes into the lesson and your child may also get out of the pool before the lesson is over to continue doing dry-land training.
