2017 Figures Meet - Charlottetown, PE

November 25, 2017

Synchro PEI's first event of the 2017 - 2018 Season:  Figures Meet.  Usually, this is the first competition ever for swimmers who are new to the competitive stream.  These "Figure Only" meets are an excellent learning experience to all parties involved (i.e. the athletes, coaches, judges, and volunteers)!  During figure meets, athletes must wear black suit, goggles, nose clips, and a white cap.  Each athlete is scored individually on his/her ability to perform specific positions and transitions in a predetermined series.  For long-term goals, the athletes' scores are used to identify Championship scores for the routines in which they swim.  So it's important to try your best and still have fun with figures!
